2019 was already my fifth time attending the conference as a photographer. At the same time, it was also a year of change, because from that year on it was no longer called Frontendconf or Frontend Conference, but simply Front Conference.
The new name also came with a broader focus. The event no longer wanted to cover only pure frontend topics, but aimed to open up more towards design and related disciplines as well. This gave the conference a broader character than in previous years.
There was also a familiar constellation within the team. Florian Ziegler was back again, and with Claudio Rimann, there was once more a familiar face on board as photo editor, just like in previous years.
Looking back, Front Conference 2019 was the edition I have been happiest with photographically so far. Compared to previous years, my images were sharper and crisper. My switch to Sony certainly played a role in that, as it was becoming more and more noticeable in my photographic work.
