Even in 2018, Frontendconf felt very familiar. Much was similar to the previous year, and the team also remained almost unchanged. Instead of Florian Ziegler, Nick Niles stepped in as photographer, and with Claudio Rimann, there was once again a familiar face on site as photo editor.

There was still one small but significant change for me. Although my actual switch to Sony was still ahead of me at the time, Frontendconf 2018 was the first time I photographed with a Sony instead of a Canon. Looking back, it was one of those moments that already hinted at where my photographic journey was heading.

As in previous years, the conference offered a good mix of inspiring talks, encounters, and moments around the stage, the audience, and everything happening in between.
