Even with an early start, the route was already busy. Because the main parking area looked full at first, there was a short detour before heading back to the actual trailhead on foot. Parking on a meadow in Wasserauen costs 3 Swiss francs per day, as long as there is still a little patience left.

Ascent

Seealpsee can be reached either by a paved road or by a hiking trail. Both options are fairly steep. Sandals and prams are not recommended, and the hiking trail is impossible with a pram anyway.

The trail was chosen first. Along the way, there was time to stop at an alpine dairy and buy some fresh goat cheese.

Cows also appear again and again right next to the trail.

At the top, the lake is worth a long break, and walking around it is part of the experience. A small stop at Berggasthaus Seealpsee also fits perfectly.

Descent

For the way down, the paved road is a practical option. It is still steep, but easier than the trail.
