2021 was a special edition of Front Conference in several ways. On the one hand, it marked the conference’s 10th edition. On the other, it was able to take place at all only after the break in 2020. Because of the pandemic, the event took place under certain official requirements, which gave it a different setting than in the years before.
Even so, much felt familiar. The photo team with Florian Ziegler and Claudio Rimann was working together in the same constellation as in previous years and was therefore very well coordinated. Especially for an edition with unusual conditions, that was a real advantage, because many processes were well established and everyone could rely on each other.
Looking back, I am also very happy with the photographic results. Over the years, I had continuously kept my equipment up to date and was therefore able to draw from the full range. That helped me react flexibly in very different situations.
